Harper’s Personalized Christmas Book from Hooray Heroes

Merry Christmas, Harper is Harper’s personalized Christmas book from Hooray Heroes and we are so in love with it! The pictures and colors are so vibrant, it makes everything come to life right before your eyes.

To start customizing your child’s very own book you first choose their appearance, hair color and type, eye color, skin tone, and you can even add in some freckles or glasses. One you have customized your child’s character you can start choosing which 10 stories your child will star in, making this book special to your family.

Once you are done creating your child’s book, you get to write a dedication to your little one. This is my favorite part of the whole customization process and what makes it truly special to me! They have some cute dedication you can choose from or you can add your own. I choose the “Santa’s got his eye on you” dedication and changed it up a little to suit us!

Harper’s favorite part of the whole book is her sitting with Santa and all of the Christmas lights! She just loves reading her name in the story and pointing out her character. I love that she is actually listening and picking up what we are reading to her because she is so into the stories! She is in the book after all, so how can she not get sucked in every time, reading her own name and seeing her own personalized hero.

This personalized Christmas book is the perfect gift for children of any age! Reading this cute book with the whole family will be sure to get everyone in the Christmas spirit!

Isabel’s 2nd Birthday Party at Kids Time

Isabel turned two on November 1st and this Sunday we had her birthday party at Kids Time in Las Vegas. This party was our first “outside of our home” birthday party and let me tell you guys, it won’t be our last! Kids Time made life a breeze for us, in fact, we loved it there so much that we plan to become members!

Before I get into the party details, let me tell you about Kids Time and how amazing it is! This indoor playground is designed for children under the age of 10 years old, which means no big kids knocking the littles over! There are several wooden playground structures with tons of slides, a ballon pit, a bouncy house slide, monkey bars, super soft flooring throughout, I could go on for days listing everything they have there! Your child will never be bored and will always find something new to do at Kids Time. What I loved most is that the facility is large enough for the girls and all of their friends to have constant fun, but also small enough that parents could always see their children. Kids Time offers several classes, such as toddler class, preschool, and ballet. They also offer memberships at great prices! You are free to use the facility all day long, you can even leave and come back later after nap time or lunch! You may also bring food & drinks inside the facility as long as it stays in the designated areas.

We booked the Semi-Private Kids Birthday Party Package which includes 2 hours, party supplies, table clothes, decorations, setup and cleanup. We had a super cute private room where we ate and opened gifts. The staff was amazing at Kids Time! They were incredibly kind and went well over what I had expected of them! I came in last second with balloons and the ladies put them up in no time for me! They had already decorated the room in Bubble Guppies theme per Isabel’s request and it was perfect! Also, helped us bring in all of our food & gifts and cleaned up after us. I know what you’re thinking, stop there lady, they cleaned up everything, and yes, yes they did! They not only provided all of the decorations, plates, cups, utensils and set them up for us but, they also cleaned up all of it as well!

With the semi-private party, you have a private party room and share the play area with the public and other parties. This package is for up to 8 children (this does not include birthday child and sibling) and $10 for any additional children. Costs start at $150 for weekday parties and $200 for weekends.

If the semi-private party isn’t your thing, click the link to check out the other party options offered at Kids Time.

Be sure to head over and give kidstimelv on follow on Instagram to keep up with all of the fun!

I highly recommend Kids Time to any Vegas locals with children! It is not only a great place for parties, but also a great place for mom and dad to relax a little while their little ones run around playing safely within your eye sight!

Let’s Play Animal Hospital Kid Wonder Box

The other day the girls and I all went to grab the mail together and opened up the mailbox to a big surprise! Our Let’s Play Animal Hospital from Kid Wonder had arrived and boy were we beyond excited to dive right into this box!

While the girls emptied the box I started getting even more excited! This box was a little bit special to me because I was a veterinary technician before I became a SAHM (stay at home mom) and somedays I miss clinic life. I was able to watch the girls become veterinarians and all on their own they took turns examining their patient “Joey” the doggie.

Each box has several activities inside and each active includes all supplies needed to complete them, can you say winning?! Finally an activity that doesn’t involve me sitting down thinking we are all setup to play and nope, I forgot the pencil or tape, etc. We can open up our Kid Wonder Box and know we are ready for fun! No mommy running all over the house to find what we need!

The girls had so much fun with the animal hospital box and loved pretending to be vets! Taking x-rays, putting bandaids on Joeys ouches, painting fun, putting together their own stethoscope, and getting to wear their very own veterinarian shirt with their personalized name badge were just some of the many highlights of this box!

I highly recommend any box from Kid Wonder to anyone with children between the ages of 3-6 years. If your child love animals they will love pretending to be a veterinarian! Let’s Play Animal Hospital has activities that allow your little ones to set up your own clinic, play dress-up, practice suture skills, learn all about animal anatomy, setup and take their own x-rays, and give their furry friend a check-up. If your children aren’t really into animals don’t worry, Kid Wonder has a box to suit everyone, so be sure to check them out!

Personalized Sibling Book from Hooray Heroes

The Adventures of Isabel and Harper is the cutest personalized sibling book from Hooray Heroes and our whole family is over the moon for it!

To personalize the book you enter your children’s names, gender, eye color, hair color and type. You get to choose 15 stories out of the 24 to put into your book and also decide if the narrator will be mom or dad. One of my favorite parts of creating this book was the personalized dedication you get to write for your children. Of course this mama was over here sobbing while typing up our dedication to Harper and Isabel.

{All Purpose Mat in plaid from lessy messy}

There’s just something about reading a story to your children with their names in it that makes it so special to them! They are part of the story and can see their character smack in the middle of all of the fun! Turning every page to a grand new adventure, makes their eyes light up!

Our girls can’t get enough of this book and we have been reading it to them every night since we received it. For our story, I decided the narrator would be dad. Reading had always been part of our bedtime routine and dad is almost always the one to read. It became a thing that daddy read the girls their bedtime story and I just love sitting back and enjoying! Watching as the girls snuggle up on each side of daddy as he reads to them, swoon every single time!

Hooray Heroes has personalized books for all, not just siblings! One of the most popular ones is, When Emma Grows Up. They also will soon have a personalized Christmas book that I am just ecstatic over, can not wait to start creating those for the girls!

Everyday Harper and Isabel make me one proud mama, I am so happy we were able to give them this personalized book as a gift. Make sure to grab one for your child and be sure to use code VEGAS15 for 15% off all book for!

Kid Wonder Dino Box

This weekend we opened up our Kid Wonder box and had the best time! These themed boxes are fun filled with 5 activities to engage your children’s imagination. Each box includes everything your child needs to complete the fun projects including step by step instruction cards.

We decided to get the Let’s Play Dino Discovery Box since the girls are into anything dinosaur right now and we were not disappointed! This box is for ages 3-6, but even our almost 1.5 year old was getting in on the action!

What I enjoyed most about the Kid Wonder box is the engagement through imaginary play! All of these fun activities really get children excited and draws them into the theme! Our girls were pretending they were back in prehistoric times and the volcano was erupting, hot lava would consume all of the dinosaurs if they couldn’t find them in time!

The Kid Wonder boxes can be a monthly subscription or you can choose one (or more) that fits your family. They are perfect for homeschooling families like us. I was able to add these fun activities into our homeschool curriculum to keep my girls interested in what we were learning.

I highly recommend Kid Wonder to anyone with children! The perfect gift for any child with endless hours of imagination play!

A Morning at Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden

IMG_1953One Sunday morning in mid May, Our family went to explore the garden at Bellagio before it was changed over for summer.

IMG_1945

Bellagio holds such a special place in my heart! It is the first place we went to visit, after making our move out to Nevada. We have gone to Bellagio garden every theme change ;since we have lived here and I hope to make this something we always get to do together as a family.

After visiting the conservatory a few times, well the strip in general, we have learned a few tips on how to explore with toddlers (another blog to come soon on tips for Vegas/strip visits with toddlers).

IMG_1936

One key tip that almost always works out in our favor is; get there early if you want to beat the crowd! Seems simply enough right? If your children are anything like ours, you tend to be up, no matter if it’s the weekend or not! What works best for us is to get up, get ready, and head out.

IMG_1949

Getting to the garden early was the best decision we made! It gave our girls the chance to run around and explore all of the beauty without the consent worrying of them being in everyones way. It was, by far, my favorite trip to the conservatory! Watching our girls get the chance to decide what they wanted to check out next, being able to stand back and take it all in, it was easily managed time in public, which is a rare occurrence with our children!

IMG_1975

The garden is breathtaking! I highly recommend a trip there if you haven’t been yet or are looking for somewhere to take the family. It’s free to visit, which we know is a huge factor when it comes to taking toddlers places! Why pay to take them somewhere when they might decide when you get there that they hate life, that second, and are not having anything to do with your amazingly planned out day. Toddlers, am I right?
